Default Marine Patrol Headquarters dedicated to Director David Barrett

This morning Governor John Lynch signed into law SB 374 dedicating the Marine Patrol Head Quarters in the name of the late Director David Barrett.

In a packed board room invited members of the House and Senate, Commissioner of Safety, heads of the marine patrol, countless department heads, members of Safe Boaters of NH and Wendy Barrett surrounded by friends and relatives of Director Barrett were there to witness the bill signing.

It was a very small tribute to such a remarkable man that served his country and then the state of NH in multiple law enforcement agencies. Director Barrett was the longest standing director of the Marine Patrol where he helped bring safety awareness to the public as well work with multiple agencies and groups to promote the lakes and waterways of NH all while protecting the boating public.

Although Director Barrett's presence will be missed, this fitting memorial will make sure he is remembered.

Little Chase looks cute in his rubber boots!

I haven't seen Wendy since before it happened, how is she doing with it all?
