Snake Eyes is back!!!!!!
After being unavailable since December, Snake Eyes is back online, sending a new image every ten minutes.
The fine tuning of the image will have to wait until I can be back on the island, the sun is out, and it is warmer! So many people contributed to this new camera. Donations of money, time, transportation, meals, lodging, parking, carrying stuff, shoveling, testing, assembling, and the endless waiting for a new image to update to see how it looked, etc. are so much appreciated. Thank You! Please enjoy... you earned it!!!! Hi IG. Well done! I know how much time and energy something like this can take, and it is very much appreciated.
(PS: When you have a free moment, can you update the Merrymeeting camera link? We finally set up a fixed address so it should stay stable now...thanks http://65.175.138.198/view/view.shtml ) Last edited by Merrymeeting; 03-17-2008 at 09:40 AM. |

ISP woes
Sorry that Snake Eyes was out for a couple of days. It took a bit to figure out that the isp was not accepting logins... meaning that when the camera dialed up and tried to login, the username and password was rejected.
My good friend the airboat guy went to my camp on Sunday to reboot the whole works to rule out any issues with the hardware and software. With the old cam this usually worked. This morning all was fixed and we are seeing pics again, Phew!!! I really want to watch ice-out this year. Thanks all for your patience.

Airboat Guy ROCKS! Thanks to all who provide webcams of the lake - I'm addicted to watching ice-out!

I'm glad to see that you're back up and running.
Could you make one small change on your webcams site for me? Simply change the link on for winnipesaukeecam.com's webcam from http://www.winnipesaukeecam.com/cam/netcam.jpg to http://www.winnipesaukeecam.com This way if they click on the image they go to the site and not to the image. Just going to the image doesn't allow them to see the refresh and actually watch the webcam. Thanks, and i'm glad to see you're back up. |
