A 10KW Guardian by Generac with an Auto Transfer switch and 10 circuits would be about $2700 shipped. If you can locate it outside not too far from your main panel you could probably get it installed electrically for around $1200. You will need either a propane or natural gas supply and not little 20# tanks but something substantial. The propane company will probably charge for their connection (mine did not). Best thing is after you install it you're practically guaranteed no power outages for a couple years.
