Fascinating stuff Boardwalk Bluesboy! These places were like going to camp for adults and families with the communal dining room and evening entertainment. (No computer, TV or gameboy etc.) I'm trying to imagine driving up to the lake without a super-highway....imagine Rt. 28 all the way from the Boston area?
