Some lumber yards, like some of the big box stores, have a panel cutter, which is essentially circular saw on a frame that allows an accurate cut to made safely. Typically, you pay for the full sheet, but they will make one straight cut to order, i.e. taking a 4x8 and making a cut to produce a 4x6 piece & a 4x2 piece.
