The commercial area of the Hansel & Gretel Shop was all on one floor at ground level. One large room with a "fish pond" and a few smaller rooms, also for retail display.
There were living quarters underneath, accessed from the side. The building's lot slopes off enough to accommodate a lower living area.
The business was originally conceived, owned and operated by the Wrights and subsequently changed hands a few times to the Maddens, then Clarks and then numerous other owners.
