If you come off 93 at the Hooksett tolls, turning north (left) on to Rte 3A can be tough, especially if you are towing. I have been making this trip for 20 years and would recommend getting off 293 on to 93
SOUTH. Stay in the right lane and immediately exit on to 3A north.
