My father was a US Navy 2nd Lieutenant during the Korean War and I'm a proud member of the DAR through my paternal grandmother's family. I was a young girl during the Viet Nam era - so many thanks to all of you who kept me safe and who continue to provide us with all the freedoms we enjoy today
