Capitalism is great...when it has a conscience. I always considered Winni to be a blue-collar lake--my parents enjoyed taking us to the Weirs for decades on maintenance and grocery store salaries--but living and boating here are becoming less accessible every year because the costs never drop nearly as much as they rise in these cycles. In the last 6 years we've been at Arcadia, we've watched our chances of retiring here *probably* disappear--we always thought we'd sell our southern NH home and camp and buy on the lake, but those ratios are shot.

That being said, I'm not entirely sure because I don't pay all that much attention, but it appears Melvin Village Marina has barely increased their rates. Can anyone confirm?
