When I read the article, I thought it said Alton had nothing to do, and you had to drive to Concord to essentially find something to do. I guess that's true if you want to go to a different restaurant each night, and have the choice of several nightclubs. If you like a town with a relatively low tax rate, relatively low housing costs, and easy access to travel N-E-S-W, maybe Alton is not so bad .
