My neighbors on the island decided that they didn't want their main house to be in Mass anymore, so they sold and bought an equally expensive house on the mainland in Gilford. I asked him why he didn't just consolidate and buy a mainland lakehouse. He replied that the island house was their lake getaway...an escape so to speak, and if it was on the mainland it wouldn't be that. Maybe someday we'll sell everything else up here and winter in Florida, but in the meantime, we'll keep it like this![emoji6]
