Finally have "tentative" appointment dates for everything from 3 different companies...plumbing, propane and stove...my wife and I did the underground gas pipe installation ourselves, adhering to the propane company's specs as we did not want to deal with an open trench until early December.
2 foot trench 22' long (dug by hand)
6" sand in bottom
lay in 50' pipe and 14 ga tracer wire
6" more of sand lightly tamped/compacted
clean fill to 6" below grade
lay in caution tape
backfill and compact
done
