Just to be clear. i don't drink the water and wasn't suggesting this makes it ok to do that. I have a filter set up with two of those cylinder like filters and the ultra violet light. These are inside the house. This unit sits on the lake bottom at the beginning of the system. The filters would get dirty very quickly because I had an inadequate filter in the lake. This replaced that and does a good job of keeping the larger stuff from ever getting to my filters at the house.
