Talking Bees

The bees are out down here - they love my mother's crocus, which are out in full force. Ours, not so much. We are on one of the highest parts in Hollis and that really makes a difference in bloom time.

That just made me think of the island. Do any islanders get bees? I've seen yellow jackets a little too up close and personal, but no bees.

I'm surprised we get humming birds too. You would think they would stick to the mainland. Not all of us provide flowers or feeders for them.
