There is also supposedly another large dished-out stone near Weirs Beach that was used to grind corn.
And, while I'm at it, a place near Weirs Beach where clay for pottery was mined - one of the few places in New England where good clay was available.
Anyone know anything about any of these places? I'd like to visit them.

The corn grinding stone was located next to
Romeo's Balcony, the green house on Lakeside Avenue in Weirs Beach. It was accidently destroyed when the Beachview parking lot was built in 1991. For pictures of the stone click on the link and scroll all the way down.
The clay mine in Weirs Beach was the former
Brickyard. Click on the link for further information.
