The drowning message has to be said over and over again.

I will repeat myself, again. Kids and PFDs. I have never heard of a child drowning from a vessel that was underway. Yet, that is the only time that PFDs are required to be warn by children 12 and under.

Kids no not drown from moving boats. They drown at the dock, at the beach, in the pool, in the brook, etc.

It happens. The family is heading out to the island. Parents are huffing food, and other stuff from the car to the boat. Dad thinks that Mom is watching Junior and Mom thinks that Dad is watching. It is quiet and happens fast.

Please PFDs on kids near the water. I'll get off of my band wagon now.

I heard that the lifeguard at the beach did a great job in a tough situation.
