Arrow Wolfeboro's "Public Nuisance" Ordinance

John Zanchi is mentioned—a friend who abandoned his private floatplane ramp—complaining of oversized wakes. http://www.airfields-freeman.com/NH/Airfields_NH.htm

Is there not a noise ordinance in Wolfeboro which requires "quiet" time after 10PM?
Cement mixers and logging equipment can't be used after 10-PM.

However there is a catch-all ordinance here:

Quote:
"...It shall be unlawful for any person to make or cause to be made any loud or unreasonable noise. Noise shall be deemed to be loud or unreasonable when it disturbs, injures, or endangers the peace or health of another, or when it endangers the health, safety, or welfare of the general community. Any such prohibited noise shall be a public nuisance..."

The ordinance also applies to "noise heard through adjoining walls".

As most of the neighboring McMansions are seemingly empty of their owners—and are rented-out to tenants—there are very few people affected who might be disturbed by "a birthday party".

(And don't know of the law).

As abutters to a Marriott property, it would be inadvisable for us to pick up the gauntlet of Wolfeboro Peace.
