My suggestions would depend on your timing and length of rental.

If you were hitting the water early—9 or earlier—I'd tube in the Broads between Parker and Moose Islands, where it'll be wide open without much traffic at that time and not cause damage as Descant mentioned.

From there, I'd head to the West Alton sandbar. Depending on the weather, if you're there by 11 or so, it's a pretty easy entry. Have lunch and swim there for a bit.

Afterward, if you're up for sightseeing, you could hug the western shore down to the Weirs and back or go across the Broads and drop anchor on the west side of Ragged, scoot around Hole in the Wall, and head home.

If you pulled tubing from the equation, I might alter this plan to bring you more north off the beaten path and into some of the smaller coves, but, as mentioned, the high water, weird weather, and resulting boating patterns have made this a different year to plan/navigate.
