I haven't witnessed anything like this wake since one snapped my BIL's 23-foot monohull sailboat's ½" nylon dock line; fortunately, a visitor had his camera handy and photographed "The Incoming Wake". (And the soaked aftermath ).
We never saw the boat!

As to erosion, a forum member (thank you) sent me this third shot before the structure collapses altogether through erosion.

Doesn't look much like a GFBL wake APS, nor a sailboat
I know full well wakes and erosion have not been eradicated, just a funny. Large cruiser, plowing boats.
