My preference is to use pressure treated would for the decks, regardless of it being a season or permanent dock, I also recommend make the deck in removable sections....

Sections can be removed and brought on shore for cleaning etc.

At the end of the day, I have had very good luck, with pressure treated decking on my dock, every few years you hit it with a pressure washer and it cleans right up nice....
