I have a friend who is a NYC policeman. On 9/11 he was driving home after a long shift, and seen the planes crash into the towers. He turned his car around, and raced to the scene. He met up with two officers he knew, and as they raced toward the towers one of the buildings fell, and he and one of the other officers was thrown in the air, and through a glass window of a store.

As they both got up, shocked to still be alive, they went looking for the third officer, a young women.....they found her dead, her body cut in half. My friend stayed at the towers all week helping out with the search. He still patrols NYC.
