Mail forwarding can be iffy. Back in the really snowy winter (2010 + somewhere) we forwarded our mail and never saw a piece of mail all winter despite several inquiries. Apparently it is still somewhere in space.
Thus the remedy. Do Premium Forwarding, which is expensive, however the mail does arrive. Our P.O. sends the mail out mid week and we get our mail on Friday.
