I wouldn't choose to live in one but they do use less resourses.
Seniors don't have kids in school.
Most have retirement income and are not on welfare or needing other benefits
They do not commit many crimes so they aren't a draw on police,courts and prison systems.
They generate much less household garbage compared to younger families
with the possible exception of wine bottles.
