A developer expects to build a septic system up to code or attached to a public service (more often). Even a smaller builder working on a new private home would expect they would have to do that.

The realtors are either selling newly built product (existing is harder to come by each day), or expect that the mortgage company/buyer inspection would take care of it. Most realtors suggest inspections, but leave it up to the buyer to contract it as a contingency.

So they have never been opposed to working septic systems.
