I will start with only rope. 50' 5/16" with a nylon thimble and stainless shackle. I may cut that shorter at some point, depending on what I figure out for the necessary rode ratio. My experience with my previous dinghy anchor is that 3:1 with only rope was sufficient. If so, I'll stick with that as it'll be easier to only have rope.
