Bova's Bakery in the North End is open 24/7. Spinelli's Bakery in East Boston is my favorite though. If you like Mikes you'll love Spinelli's.

That being said, there really is nothing in this area to compare to the Italian bakeries in East Boston and the North End.

I do like Panera's in Concord though and I wish they would build one here in the Lakes Region. In addition to the bread and pastries that they offer, their hot soup, salads and sandwiches would sell well up here year round. The Concord store is always packed.
