What generation are you?
I was a teenager in late 60' s, early seventies..... Use to spend my entire summer in Gilford, as the family owned a lake cottage. (No longer owned)
As teenagers, we use to go to the Weirs Saturday night (usually by boat),
to a place called 'Teen Haven'. The place use to hold teen dances, and they had live bands! We use to dance till midnight. Met many girls there both local and those vacationing like myself.
It was a safe place for kids to meet and have fun, no alcohol or drugs.
I still have fond memories about this place.
