Sir! Come to your senses! Put your well-loved Scion xB out its misery. In your heart of hearts you know it's done for.

I would not spend $10,000 on a boring Corolla. You mentioned the Subaru Forester so I assumed you wanted cargo space, which you won't get in a Corolla. Perhaps you can tell us what your priorities are in a car? What do you use your car for?

Here's the best KIA Soul on Craigslist at the moment and it's only $7200 with 77,500 miles: https://nh.craigslist.org/cto/d/dove...284708036.html

Better car (newer, lower mileage) if you can stand the color, but more expensive: https://nh.craigslist.org/ctd/d/conc...284911496.html

For comparison: https://nh.craigslist.org/ctd/d/chic...286853574.html

The Soul had a major redesign in 2014, so you would probably want to avoid models older than that.

Excellent deal on a low-mileage Nissan Versa Note: https://nh.craigslist.org/cto/d/pier...277428809.html

The Versa Note rates lower than the Kia Soul and Chevy Sonic for mechanical reliability.
