It's less about being a cheapskate and more about where to put my money and knowing where it goes. Every four or so outings with 20% tips could be another whole meal to support the/another restaurant. My income is not infinite.

That being said, I really didn't know that takeout people could be servers not being compensated differently, and I will be tipping differently going forward.
