On another note.....

Should I turn-off both the gas to my hot water heater, and shut-off the electrical breaker to that source also ?

Also, there is a 100V connection on the bottom on the gas furnace, i suspect this is for the 'pilot' light, should I also un-plug that ?

Sorry for the simple questions, but this is the first time, I've left my house for an extended period of several months.
