Cut the cable
We had Metrocast extended basic package that got up to $180/mo. Switched to TDS fiber optic package for around $125/mo for 2 yrs. Then after our 2 yrs guaranteed rate, it started climbing monthly.
We listened to others talking about streaming TV, and finally said enough is enough. We ended up going back to Atlantic Broadband for internet and Youtubetv. A little learning curve, no channel numbers, but you can organize your channels so the ones most often watched can be moved to the top of the list. You can also deselect channels you don't want to watch (Spanish speaking, kids programming, e.t.c). With basic costs and the little extras, we're around $110-120. And we have a ton of sports channels, and in Alton, our local stations are all the Boston channels and WMUR.
Lovin' YouTubeTV.
