Motorcycles are not my thing, but for the 17 summers I have been at the Lake, Bike Week has been fine.

I cannot in any logical universe see how Bike Week can be justified this year. Of course, riding around, taking road trips etc. is fine. BUT no official can really believe that putting up signs/ giving out masks, etc. will in any way influence the behavior in restaurants, bars, in crowds. The LDS seems to be reporting that the “officials” all seem to be saying that it is not in their ability to stop it, only the organizers can. The Governor apparently thinks it will be all right.

I can accept the premise that we “vulnerables” need to take care of ourselves

But, it is incomprehensible that any responsible official really believes that Bike Week this year is good for the community.

I was unaware of the new directive from the Governor when writing my comments. But, I still do not see the risk/benefit ratio benefitting the community.
