Webmaster's suggestion of the ION VCR 2 PC would be cheaper, if you could find one, but I've been using a device called the
Elgato Video capture for years (see Amazon link below), which does the same thing. Just connect this device between your VCR and computer, and play your to-be-converted video. It takes the same amount of time, but leaves you with a nice digital version of your taped version. It's also
very simple to use.
