While trout fishing in Pittsburg NH just north of Colebrook on rouite 3 I've seen many moose and a few bears. Route 3 north of Pittsburg is moose alley, famous for its moose viewing. Take a day trip from the lake and head north, the new "God's Country" fewer people and very little traffic north of colebrook. Trip takes about 2 1/2 hours, the best chance of seeing a moose is in the morning along the roadside.
