And just for fun, here's a nice view of the old "Mount" taken from one of the seaplanes that was based at the Weirs. Judging from the wing strut in the edge of the picture, it was the "Staggerwing" Beechcraft. The Mount went up on the ways in Center Harbor for a big rebuild in I think 1937-8 over the winter, and there was a bit of a celebration when it arrived back at the Weirs, so that's probably when the picture was taken. Maybe Jim Irwin in the speedboat.
