For feeders on poles, we've had good luck in the past using the cannister-type baffles (as long as the pole is tall enough and far enough from structures they could jump from). Hanging feeders are another matter. My son suggested a paint ball gun . . . deters the squirrels, but also helps to identify repeat offenders.
