There are some striking differences between snow depths at neighboring locations, including some very localized "holes" in snow cover in the middle of some appreciable amounts. I used this to see what was going on late yesterday and this morning to see the net snowfall:

Here on Long Island, the northern tip got nothing, while down at the southeastern area by Harilla Landing the amount shown is 4". The Ossipees got 8-10", while the western half of M'boro Neck and nearly all of Center Harbor got essentially nothing. I believe the amounts shown on the graph are computer generated from integrating radar snowfall rates.
