Hogwash. Video screens have been out far longer than the 2018 mandate. Hell, Honda had a map system in the early 80's.

Also, my 4Runner has a screen and backup camera, and they're both perfect and very welcome. Implementing it clumsily is just clumsy implementation.

Time to stop drinking the anti-gov't Kool-Aid. (PS I'm not pro-gov't in any way, but I'm also not going to blindly blame it all willy-nilly.)
