The only thing I would recommend is to plug your router into a timer that turns off for a couple minutes a day. This acts as a reset when you can’t be out there. I have been doing this for a few years now successfully!!

Yes a camera there will be good. Back to the pricing; the $120 per year is "Per home (as set up in the Nest or Home app)". So it may be an additional $120 per year even if on the same account.
