The storm's direction was from the northwest, but you didn't mention where the lost bimini originated from.
Since it's designed to be watertight, it's possible that a bubble under the canvas could have floated it for miles.
While not likely related, I saw the following (and possibly yet-unrecovered) lost items:
After that storm, in 4 to 6 feet of water, I saw a few flat objects that are white in color nearest Wolfeboro's Ayers Point. As it was very rough at the time, I couldn't make out just what they were, but they were each definitely larger than a T-shirt. As they were a "brilliant white", I doubt we'd be looking at the white undersides of lost seat covers, biminis (or bikinis) from a previous summer season.
Be careful if you're searching there from a large boat, as a substantial man-made rock pile (a "cairn") reaches up from the bottom in that area.
