Merrymeeting was skimmed over with ice again this morning. But by mid-morning the new ice was gone and the old ice was disappearing fast.
The wind picked up around noon and a significant ice shift opened up a good portion of the lake. The wind blew the rest to the east where it now sits. But it wouldn't surprise me if it's gone when we get up tomorrow.
