My heart and prayers go out to this family, this father, and their daughter/sister. I can't imagine the pain they are feeling at this moment. May it be a reminder that boating safety is of paramount importance. I myself can sometimes fall into the trap of thinking I "know what I'm doing" around a boat, but the truth is the water and fast boats are both dangerous. I usually make my kids wear a life jacket but do not wear mine, as that's how it was with my parents. But I think I'll try to set an example for them and wear one right along with them.
