yes...that is a tough decision for a fisherman. If you were present, I would certainly ask before stepping foot outside the boat onto your property but if you were not present, leaving the lure there poses a risk of hooking one of your family members or a pet. I think most fishermen, think retreiving the lure is the most courteous thing to do. The "counter argument" could be "well then don't cast at my property" but remember, they aren't casting at your property (there are no fish in the shrubs, on your dock or in your boat)...they are casting at the water around your property (which is not your property).

I think the fisherman retreiving his lure was not doing it to deprive you of a lure...he/she was doing it to remove a hazard accidently put there.
