If there was serious interest in discouraging them from taking up residence, quit making the area so attractive to them. Maybe the town should consider planting a natural hedge and buffer along the water's edge just like every other shore front owner is. No doubt the geese congregating in large numbers in a small area is not good for them, the public or the lake.

Meredith provides the perfect habitat for geese to graze and gather....
I know some golf courses use border collies, who will have a blast chasing geese off the property....
