I have to wonder if the strange weather we've had this summer didn't have something to do with the quality of the corn?

My dad always (always!) grew butter and sugar corn - it was yellow and white - and almost always sweet and yummy. But I recall times it wasn't as good because we hadn't had enough rain or enough warm weather. Considering the heatwave and now the late-summer like weather we're having here now in NH, I wonder if it's not all impacting the produce. I know some friends of mine on Facebook have been talking about the lateness of the gardens - no ripe tomatoes, etc.
