Because they know they have majority of us by the balls
. I wanted to dump metrocast 6 years ago when my bill was 180$ a month for bad internet connection, barely any channels and 2 cable boxes. Would complain all the time because of constant outages, they didn’t care. But in reality I had nowhere else to go and dish/direct tv wasnt an option at my house.
