Our Webmaster had given me the idea for a ForumFest that would support Lakes Region and the businesses. I have been trying to collect a few items/gift certificates from around the lake that will help bring awareness to our local establishments. So far I have had incredible response from the few places that I have visited.
Last week I sent an e-mail to
Funspot asking if they would like to contribute a little something. They were incredibly generous by donating two $20 dollar gift cards and four $10 gift cards for our raffle for charity! Wow!
While taking a trip around the lake, Rattlesnake Guy and I stopped in at
The Old Country Store in Moultonborough. As I was making my purchase I inquired if the lady handling the sale was the owner and she said yes. I explained about our annual gathering and this year’s raffle to benefit the Salvation Army Food Pantry in Laconia. She immediately got out her gift certificate book and wrote one out for us for $25. What a great store and museum! A must do if you are in the area. They have some very unique gifts, penny candy, books, maple products and kitchen gadgets that you cannot find elsewhere.
