(With the power off...)

After you replace that knob, open up the panel in front of the control unit. Open the control box and look around for fuses/circuit breakers. Leave the panel open for a while in case there is moisture in there. If there's more than one fuse make a diagram of where they go. Take the old ones to the hard-ware store and get replacements.

These things have safety features built into them. Mine has temp sensor that shuts down everything until it cools down. I figured this out by filling from the hot-water in my house. I thought the thing had died! The next day I flipped the power back on and it started up again.
