If anything, it matters more to live in an income tax free state when you earn more.
“You’re doing well enough” does not justify paying more taxes just because they can.
“Serious career” is just more noise.
We were simply talking about pros and cons of living in NH vs Mass…
Fortunately, my employer is in a state (not Mass) that can’t charge me their state income tax here in NH.
If I moved to Mass, I would pay the Mass rate to the state of mass.
