Default ....rebuilding the Old Man ..... earns votes?

Walt Haverstein could have done himself a huge favor by proposing to rebuild the Old Man on the Mountain with a life-sized facsimile Old Man made out of fiberglass, or aluminum or some high tech material like what he uses in his companies bullet-proof vests. Include a visual light show and sound effects as you drive Franconia Notch and it would be a very happening Old Man....make the eyes light up and animate the face and mouth....to say "....hellooooooo down there.....live free or die! .....the State of NH is now very friendly for business!" ......and transmit to the cars below on their car radios.

I would have voted for Walt if he had been talking up the Old Man on the Mountain replacement big-time, and that would have been one less vote for Maggie Hassan and one more vote for Walt.....go Walt go....he did real good....came real close percentage wise just below Maggie by a couple points....hey.....he came in a very strong second place! ........ all things considered....and rebuilding the Old Man could have put him over the top.

Instead of just saying "NO" to absolutely everything....like all Republicans...he could have created a new Old Man on the Mountain and really put New Hampshire on the national tourist map..... say-hey.....did you see that up on yonder mountain! About the only thing the NH Republicans are real good for.....is creating lots of potholes in the state roads....and Walt mentioned that himself: Route 4 from Chichester to Alton, where he lives, is pothole town!
